Jonny is a young Bahamian, a promising painter on scholarship at an arts college in Nassau. Lena is the wife of a rabidly homophobic pastor. Jonny is troubled: guilt-stricken over his sexuality, the recurring target of attacks by a gang, and alienated from his alcoholic father. Meanwhile, Lena’s apparently perfect family life seems about to fall apart. To try and reconnect with his artistic gift Jonny heads to picturesque Eleuthera, while Lena goes there to collect signatures for an anti-gay rights petition.
On Eleuthera Jonny meets the charming Romeo, as Lena is drawn to the soft-spoken, compassionate Reverend Clyde. Through these life-shifting encounters, Jonny and Lena find themselves coming to a fuller understanding of who they are, a realisation that will have unsettling consequences. As poignant as it is provocative, Children of God is a brave and beautiful exploration of the search for acceptance—of one’s self, of others—in an often brutally intolerant world.
Porno. de gay completo
I have been so profoundly moved by this.
this movie looks gay..
God doesn't give a damn if you are gay or not.
If you are respectful, kind, loving… God will see that.
great post!! i like it a lot. of course god dous not hate he and she is love only.
its only man or women that creat fear = hate. if we under stood how we as people world wide created fear within or self! We could heal ourselfs and fill ourself with love and what peace that would be in this world Today!!!!
Come on! You could've left it at "sad ending," but did you seriously need to ruin the movie?
I hated the tematic!
God has many sides. I've always believed that god is not just a man but a woman as well and is all races. To put God into so narrow a box like many do is to make God less than he/she really is. And I can never believe that God hates anyone. I was always told that God is love, and if God is the definition of love then God cannot hate. If what you believe is causing you to hate and feel poison running through your veins, then maybe it's time to get a new belief.
HI Great comment
regards karl
GOD !!! Has 2 side and that = you so too understand GOD!! You must understand your self frist!! And look at both sides of your self!! With out Judgment, For fear is only there for you to Acknowedge it in feel & seeing it ,For within all of us is love & fear. for you can not have one with out the other for they are one. let the truth set you free or live in the shadow of fear the choise is and all ways was yours. This looks like a well written and directed movie and the acting is obviously first rate. But why is it that in so many queer films someone has to die? Notice I didn't say ALL, but in so much of our cinema tragic endings of some sort seem to prevail.
caveat: although david's birthday ends horribly needlessly, i still recommend it because thyago alves is heart-haltingly gorgeous. he is the distilled concentration of what romantic sexual fantasy is created. it is painful to watch him on screen because he is so damned beautiful. his looks are hypnotizing and his body is like something that was carved by the gods from the most magical bronze marble. the actor is straight but his performance is so open and so devoid of self-consciousness.
the prevailing and unalterable wisdom must be that no one–especially gay men–want to see a life-affirming, positive, uplifting drama featuring gay characters. i don't care if the characters are muslim, jew, black or hispanic or italian. i want my gay brothers to be alive at the end of the movie and whole emotionally and physically. i saw david's birthday a two years ago about a married italian man who falls in love with his best friend's son, david. the movie ends so needlessly, horribly.
This looks like a good movie.
That looks like a good movie. I see comments about someone dying in the end though..sigh.
