I first learned of the lean start up methodology around this time last year. After using the Christmas break to explore it in depth I found myself slowly implementing this “lean thinking” in many areas of my business and personal life. I found it has helped me to remove the clutter from my head allowing me to think more clearly and execute even more efficiently in my business. I have also began using some of the concepts in my own business and on some client projects which have gathered encouraging results.
In a nutshell the lean start up method is about removing the wasted time, money and energy from the process of building a new business. The lean philosophy was made popular by the Toyota company lean manufacturing system which not only focuses on removing the waste but on improving the overall system. It is almost like a way of life!
