Thank you! My uncle was so arrogant just because he has an asian indian wife with long hair. saying that it is impossible for black females to grow hair past our sholders and to grow long hair. Then I show him your hair and he's like 'she's mixed.' but then I',m just as mixed as you are! So he just small minded. If you take good care of your hair it grows!

Lawd, my family is West Indian (Grenadian and Guyanese), and when I just tell people I'm West Indian, they think I actually mean Indian… and since where I live these people don't know much about the Caribbean, I just say my family is from the Caribbean to avoid confusion. xD

Lol my daughter is the direct opposite of you. Top of her hair is curler thicker and grows quicker than the back

We have literally the exact same hair "problem".. The texture and growth thing I get it.
I just keep the front part twisted all the time and leave the back out lol

As a multiethnic and 'fair-skinned'/'light-skinned' Black woman; I myself agree with you!

People feel the need to project their long, tainted, and frustrating feelings about ethnicity and its correlation to hair. Genetics are an important, vital factor, but unfortunately people have perceptions of what certain type of people having certain type of hair and what they look like. When it's not the case! I know mixed people that don't have the definition of "good hair" and as far as I'm concerned; "good hair" is healthy hair… hair that is taken care of.

I adore your comments! I have no idea why so many people don't know about 'West Indies'/Caribbean; let alone East Indian. Maybe because I have direct Caribbean lineage, so maybe I shouldn't necessarily say what a 'no-brainer' it is.

I absolutely fell in love with your first tutorial!
    Your hair is awesome! 😀
(my hair has naturally 3 different curl patterns)
I think you're beautiful as well as your hair!
