Rudie’s, “real jerk” Jamaican restaurant, is set to launched in Dalston, London, in September. We catch up with one of the co-founders Edward Johnston of Port Royal Patties. He tells us about setting up Rudie’s restaurant, the authentic jerk stations serving up food right in front of the customers and a rum bar serving a variety of rums and cocktails that reflect the history of Jamaica. The restaurant will have a ska, traditional reggae vibes for 60’s and 70’s with live vinyl playing sounds and a celebration of Rudeboy style and culture.
