The Recife based illustrator – whose interest in art started after attending a graffiti workshop in 2003 – cites black culture as his biggest influence and is known for using black women as central figures in his work – a body of work that promotes black empowerment, and gives a spotlight to the diverse beauty of afro-Brazilian women that is oftentimes shunned by Brazil’s mass media.
