Some people are complaining about "another slave movie," well it's not a "slave movie," it's a TV show. And given all the "black lives matter" moments, youth of todays present need to see youths from yesterdays past. The main ones that are saying "no more slave this" and "no more slave that" are the main ones marching and shouting and don't even know what they're marching and fighting for. Our history (Black history) is American history, and I can NEVER get enough. If southerners can be proud of confederate flags and soldiers, I can be proud to be of a people that fought and survived the REAL "GREAT DEPRESSION" : Slavery. This show seems to be exemplifying strength, not weakness; it shows industrialism, not lazy people looking for someone to save them; it shows unity, not them killing one another. So, if you ask me, people (especially my people…aka, Black) can use EVERY bit of this show's message. And white folks aren't excluded in this educational process, because whenever someone like Donald Trump is #1 in polls, it shows that apparently America hasn't learn enough from history. We ALL can use a history lesson. Okay.

The fact that this "might" be the only way to educate our youth on the sacrifice of freedom and the price paid to give them the same offered in the Constitution is enough for me. Entertainment, social media and music is what resonates to our youth today. The further along our generation gets the less they remember. Although many appreciate their culture, they aren't the ones highlighted and recognized. I'm all for supporting EVERYTHING positive, thought provoking, empowering and simply reminding our youth and even their parents (since they are getting younger and younger) that they have access and rights! GO UNDERGROUND GO!!!

looks silly and just a corny version of Empire and Blue Hills, set in the times of slavery, a big black slave that's the muscle and with rap music no-less, I can already tell you how it will turn out,
