Elliot Lim’s Gorgeous Animated Tribute To The Wire

Elliot Lim is a San Francisco based artist, designed a gorgeous animated tribute to The Wire, using the soundtrack from The Wire’s opening credits, “Way Down in the Hole” by the Blind Boys of Alabama.

I binge watched The Wire a few years back–yes, all five seasons–and the gorgeous sequencing of Lim’s animated short made me feel a re-watch coming on.

I recognised so many of the references, that I was almost sorry that Lim’s short was not the actual opening credits for the show.
