Nice song!! Should be another hit for King Bubba! 🙂
I see below where someone was trying to argue that this isn't soca. Well for those who are unaware this is Soca with a Dancehall feel or influence, sometimes referred to as Dancehall Soca, Ragga Soca or Bashment Soca depending on the artist, producer and country they hail from.
Soca artists have been regularly producing soca with a dancehall feel or influence from since back in the 1980's when Lord Laro scored a hit with "Irie Tempo" in 1981 and Byron Lee scored a hit with "Soca Girlie" in 1985. This fusion of Soca with a dancehall influence is nothing new. Check out Byron Lee's first dancehall soca hit from back in 1985 at this link:

The term Dancehall Soca for the fusion of Soca with a Dancehall influence was first coined in the late 1980's; then in the early 1990's the term Ragga Soca for the same musical fusion was coined; then in the 2000's the term Bashment Soca was coined. However whether we refer to the fusion as Dancehall Soca, Ragga Soca or Bashment Soca they are just three different terms for the same musical fusion between Soca and Dancehall that we have been hearing regularly from our Caribbean artists from since the early 1980's. So for those who didn't know, well now you know.

This girl on the beach right…..chhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….. smh chhhhhhhhhhh lol
As for the tune itself, great feeling and vibe to it, feels nice and big, does its job very well, to make us move.
Now, some are arguing whether this is Soca or not, well it is in fact, Soca, genres are mixing, and us as artist and producers are finding new ways to keep the sound fresh, the music fresh, so please be mindful of the amount of skill, and knowledge it takes to not only build a beat and lyrics but also to structure… arrangements, layers, mixing, mastering, we don't just press a button and it all appears!!
And, hear this… after all of that work, there's no guarantee the public will like it.. LOL… just think about it for a moment.. ughh just urks me…{Go back to the drawing board…} very serious thing to say and to hear, hurts you to the core, especially new artists and producers, {yes it is all part of the it, but… ughh} but then we have to hope some promoters like it also so we can get booked and get back the money spent to produce the track and maybe hope to make a profit! Anyways its not easy to produce a track needless to say a HIT.
Lots of effort goes into it! Anywoos good vent.. lol
